{"id":933,"date":"2013-01-29T12:46:20","date_gmt":"2013-01-29T20:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nowforourturn.org\/CosmicReflections\/?p=933"},"modified":"2013-01-29T12:54:10","modified_gmt":"2013-01-29T20:54:10","slug":"warped-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nowforourturn.org\/CosmicReflections\/2013\/01\/29\/warped-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Warped Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If one day we stand together at the Pine Creek trailhead, looking down the steep gravel slope, and think we see nothing\u2026.utterly nothing\u2026but a desolate desert landscape,<br \/>\nwe\u2019ll head down that trail that will take us to remnants of yesterday\u2019s Ice Age, slip on the gravel until we come to the smoother multi-colored layers of several of Earth yesterdays.<br \/>\nWhole eons slide under our feet in the grey dirt becoming brown becoming beige becoming yellow becoming red before becoming soft pink sand as the trail levels out.<br \/>\nA rare rain may make colors more vivid as we head across that arid landscape that was once a water fed habitat, detour to sniff the trunk of the Ponderosa Pine\u2026vanilla, butterscotch?<br \/>\nAs we pick our way across a seasonal stream on stones polished throughout yesterdays beyond comprehension, we\u2019ll salute a thick stand of willow as it puts forth its fur once again.<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll pause to watch a hawk ride a thermal in circles.
